Ronnie Elliott began studying jazz guitar as a young child, sitting in at local jazz jams beginning at age 8. He quickly immersed himself in the jazz scene in Greenville, South Carolina, and began professionally gigging at age 9. Ronnie has been named a Downbeat Magazine winner, a YoungArts winner, and a finalist in the Dallas International Guitar Festival competition. In 2021, Ronnie was named an Arts Ambassador to the Boys and Girls Club of America, joining other musicians such as Matthew Whitaker in the role. He has performed with notable jazz musicians such as Etienne Charles and Xavier Breaker and will be featured with the Pat Bianchi Trio in April. Ronnie has led bands at Greenville’s Fall for Greenville festival, Artisphere, and the iconic underground jazz series, The Wheel Sessions, where he is the youngest musician ever to lead a session. In the summer of 2024, Ronnie made his Dollywood debut at the Heartsong Resort, performing with Dollywood’s resident jazz band The Downtowners. He is currently a student of NYC guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg.
